Brent Carter

CP Adults Director

Brent has been a member of Center Pointe since 2000.  As a volunteer, he has served in many capacities, including usher, teacher, strategic leader, consultant, and coach.  He supported church leadership as Interim Operations Director in early 2021 and came on staff as Executive Director of Ministry Services in March 2021.  Currently, Brent has responsibility for the adult ministry areas as CP Adults Director. He has extensive business experience in multiple industries and was an executive coach/consultant for 10+ years prior to joining the Center Pointe staff.

Brent has been a professed Christian for most of his life but became a committed Christ follower through his spiritual journey here at Center Pointe.  He believes that ministry can happen anywhere with anyone.  God will provide those opportunities; we just have to be observant and obedient to His prompting.  Brent clearly knows that God called him out of the corporate world to Center Pointe to use his experience here to further our mission.

Brent’s wife and best friend, Betsy, has been a life-changing partner for him and a loving mother to their kids, Lindsay, Adam, and Taylor (all launched and off the payroll).  “Pops,” as he is known by his three grandkids, finds joy in spending time with them.  His interests include outdoor activities (hiking, water skiing, rollerblading, cornhole), engaging in leadership conversations, and developing others.  He is also a ready and willing euchre partner.

Lynn Perrigo

Connections Director

Lynn has a Bachelor of Science in Christian Education from Cincinnati Christian University.  She worked in publishing for more than 30 years, had her own business providing editorial services, and most recently worked full-time as a project manager and then editorial director.

She and her husband Doug have been married since 1990 and have two amazing sons. Kyle and his wife Emily live in Wisconsin and he works as an industrial designer. Bryce is a mechanical engineer in Northern Kentucky. Lynn loves that Bryce is nearby and hopes that Kyle will someday be closer to his mom.

Lynn loves to read, bake, go for long walks, hike/bike with her husband, go to the movies, and spend time with good friends.

Even though she considers Ohio to be her home (she and Doug have lived in West Chester/Liberty Township since they were married), Lynn was born in Ontario, Canada, where her parents worked as missionaries in Toronto. Her family has always been in ministry and her faith was rooted as a young child watching her parents live out the Gospel.

Lynn and her husband have considered Center Pointe to be their home church since 2002.  She has served in several areas throughout her years at CPCC. Lynn loves helping to make Center Pointe a place where people feel welcomed and at home. She loves meeting new people, so stop by Guest Central on a Sunday morning and ask for Lynn! She’d love to connect with you.

Nicole Snelling

CP Adults Grow Coordinator

Nicole came to Center Pointe with her husband Ken and their two children Luke and Adeline in 2014. She has enjoyed volunteering in the area of Connections, Groups and Women’s Ministry before coming on staff in 2018 as the CP Kids and Students Admin. In 2023 Nicole transitioned to her current role serving adults at Center Pointe.

Nicole has been actively serving God and the Church since childhood. She grew up in Hamilton and Hanover Township attending a local Hamilton church, where she and Ken were youth leaders from 2008-13. Right after high school, Nicole attended a hands-on discipleship program out of Birmingham, Alabama called Master’s Commission. The program took her all over the country and on several foreign mission trips sharing the hope of Christ. Nicole received an associate in Psychology in 2006 from Cincinnati Christian University. She also ministered for 15 years sharing the Word of God to the youth at the Butler County Juvenile Detention Center.

Nicole and Ken were married in 2008. She is excited that this job still provides her the opportunity to see her kids off each morning, and also greet them in the afternoons! The Snelling family enjoys sports, the beach, arcades, Great Wolf Lodge, and Kings Island. They love being a part of this community and can’t wait to see the amazing things God has in store as we help people find and follow Jesus.

Phil received a Bachelor of Arts from Bowling Green State University and works in the video transfer business. He has been married to his wife Chris since 1997 and together they have two young adult daughters, Gabby and Ally. He and his family have been attending CPCC since 2003. Phil describes his faith  journey as a winding road but he finally got there and was baptized by Shawn Spradling in October 2011.  Phil faithfully served as a Large Group Leader in CP Kids for nine years before joining the staff team!

Phil’s favorite thing to do with his sweet family is to simply be together and laugh. They also like to see live music as a family. Phil also enjoys cooking and sports. His favorite part of his role as the CP Kid Admin is seeing God work through everyone involved at Center Pointe.

She had the opportunity to help run VBS programs at an orphanage and a children’s hospital and experience being the hands and feet of Jesus. Her trips to Russia were life-changing and allowed her to discover her passion for adoption and service. These giftings God has been growing in her are now being used as she serves families here, at Center Pointe.

Lisa was born in Wyoming and moved multiple times in her childhood before settling in Cincinnati as a teenager. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Cincinnati and worked as a director of a private daycare and preschool for 22 years. His favorite part of pastoring at CPCC is leading our congregation into a deeper connection with God through worship.

Kelsey Helton

Communications Director

Kelsey and her husband, Nick, have been married since 2015 after falling in love directing a production of ‘Phantom of the Opera’. They both grew up on the westside of Cincinnati and their families think they moved to other side of the world now that they live in Fairfield Township.

A year into marriage, the Lord called Nick and Kelsey into fostering children as a ministry to share the Gospel with broken and hurting families. They have since added five children, Gage, Samara, Nate, Edison and Corinth, to their family by adoption through foster care. All five were adopted in a three year period – it has been a roller coaster journey for the Helton family! Macy the lapdog, the first Helton baby who is largely emotionally neglected now, rounds out their current family.

Kelsey and her family started attending CPCC in 2021 and became members a few months later in 2022. They got plugged in by hosting their weekly small group at their home and love the opportunity to demonstrate hospitality to their children. Kelsey joined the CPCC staff in 2023. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies and History. She worked at their previous church in a similar role as well as at Hope’s Closet as the Director of Community Engagement.

Kelsey encountered Jesus for the first time as a lost 13 year old girl. She was desperately seeking truth by reading 1 Corinthians (this is where her youngest received her name, Corinth) when the Lord revealed himself. She got involved in Young Life in high school, where she was discipled and started sharing her faith with her friends. On the rare occasion of a date night, Nick and Kelsey still love to frequent the theater. Kelsey loves to read, particularly historical fiction, history, and true crime. She also loves a good podcast, so send any recommendations her way!

Larra Rose

Finance Director & Treasurer

Larra was born and raised in Kentucky. She and her husband Steve are busy raising their two teenage boys, Austin and Anderson, along with the family dog Buddy (she’s tired!). They are active with Lakota East marching band and enjoy spending time outdoors, especially in National Parks! Larra received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky, a certificate in data analytics from Cornell, and she recently earned her master’s degree in Business Administration from LSU. Larra would like to share that going back to school as an adult, while raising a family, is not for the faint-hearted. In her spare time, Larra enjoys reading, cooking, music, and spending time with friends.

Nancy retired from Hamilton City Schools after 32 years as an Elementary Educator. Tim was a member of the CPCC Emergency Response Team for 9 years and volunteers with Family Promise. He has also been a small group leader since 2019.

Tim is always willing to answer God’s call and volunteer where needed, especially to those needing prayer at church, at home, or in the hospital.  He is excited to continue serving as an elder to help guide and shepherd Center Pointe into the future God has for us.

Shawn Spradling

Lead Teaching Pastor & Elder

Shawn joined the Center Pointe staff team in August of 2002. He has served in several different roles, including Worship Pastor, Adult Discipleship Pastor, and Executive Pastor, before becoming the Lead Teaching Pastor in August of 2009. He serves as the primary leader and communicator of Center Pointe, teaching, preaching, and casting vision for where God is leading us as a community as we live out our mission to help people find and follow Jesus.

Shawn didn’t grow up in church and was set to attend a local university when he had a life-changing encounter with Jesus that completely redirected his life. Two months later, he was enrolled at Cincinnati Christian University, pursuing a degree in pastoral ministry. He knew God’s call on his life was to lead others to encounter that same life-changing gospel. Shawn has a gift for teaching the Bible in relevant and meaningful ways that help people connect to the story of redemption God is writing and how each of our lives intersect with that story.

Shawn earned a BS in Bible, and an MA in Theology from Cincinnati Christian University, but the best thing he earned there was the love and affection of a young lady named Janelle who became his wife in 1998. They have two very active sons, Campbell and Carter. Shawn loves all things outdoors including golfing, cycling, hunting, and playing with his German Shorthaired Pointer named Remington.
