Andy Thomas
Technical Director
Andy is originally from the Los Angeles area and has lived in various parts of California and Chandler, Arizona. Andy and his wife Stacy have been married since 1993. They have three grown children—Kaitlyn, Matthew, and Molly— and their son-in-law, Alexander. The Thomas family is rounded out by their dog, Huckleberry. In 2010, the Thomas family moved to Ohio and now calls Finneytown home.
Andy’s journey to Christ began in his early twenties when friends invited him and his wife, Stacy, to a “friends day” at their church. His understanding of Jesus and the call to discipleship was deeply shaped by scriptures and authors like Thomas Merton, Henri Nouwen, Brennan Manning, Dallas Willard, and Richard Foster. This foundation led him to pursue a degree in Biblical Studies from Hope International University. Never one to stop learning, Andy is also a graduate of the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences and is currently working toward a Sociology degree at Xavier University.
When he isn’t behind a soundboard or computer screen, Andy stays busy playing guitar, writing, and recording music. He is an avid reader of non-fiction and a fan of history documentaries and biographies. He also enjoys staying curious by listening to lectures and forums from universities around the country.
April 2026 marks a special “welcome back” for Andy, who previously served as the Creative Technologies Pastor at Center Pointe from 2013 to 2019. In his current role as Technical Director, Andy loves designing systems and processes that empower others to flourish. He is passionate about helping people exercise their unique gifts and learn new skills as they become more of who Jesus created them to be.
Andy is grateful to serve as Technical Director at Center Pointe, where he hopes to use technology as a tool for the Kingdom of God—approaching it with wisdom, discernment, and humility, so that it serves the mission of helping find and follow Jesus rather than distracting from it.
