The nativity has become a popular Christmas tradition we’re all familiar with and the center piece is a lowly manger. It represents the King of the Universe choosing to step into our struggle, becoming fully human so He could understand us and ultimately redeem us. In a world full of chaos, disappointment, and pain, we often feel that something is missing, no matter how much we have. The message of Christmas points us to the source of true peace – Jesus. God made a way in a manger for us to come back into relationship with Him which provides a peace that transcends circumstances, because peace is not the absence of chaos, it’s the presence of Christ.
